Frequently Asked Questions
Wedding Budget Planning
Can't I just use a wedding budget spreadsheet?
You can — most couples start with an Excel spreadsheet or a Google Sheets budget template, and for a simple list of estimated costs it works. We did too. But a real wedding budget is not a flat list: it's several events, each with its own vendors, each vendor with its own deposit and installment schedule, paid from different sources by different people. A spreadsheet can hold the numbers, but it can't answer “what do we still owe, to whom, and when is it due?” without formulas that break every time you add a row. wed.money is built around exactly that question — with a payment calendar, a cash-flow timeline, and totals that update themselves. A spreadsheet makes a great summary at the end; it's not ideal for managing the day-to-day of a real wedding.
Can I plan more than just the wedding day?
Yes — a wedding is rarely a single event. An engagement party, a bridal shower, a rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, a civil ceremony and the reception, a Sunday brunch: many weddings are really a whole wedding weekend, and destination weddings or cultural celebrations often spread over several days. Each one is an event in wed.money, with its own date, color, and budget lines — this is what managing multiple wedding events under one budget looks like. You can look at any one event on its own or the whole celebration at a glance — every page has an event filter, so the numbers follow the question you're asking.
How do vendor payment plans work?
Most wedding vendors don't charge once. A venue or caterer typically wants a deposit at booking, one or more installments along the way, and a final payment before the event. In wed.money, each vendor's budget can be split into a dated payment plan, so the whole payment schedule shows up on your calendar and timeline. For every vendor you see the amount paid and the outstanding balance — you always know what's due next, and what's left after each payment.
Can payments come from different sources — parents, savings, the couple?
Yes. Weddings are often funded by several people and several accounts. Every payment can be tagged with a payment source — a parent's contribution, your joint savings, a credit card — so at any moment you can see who has paid what and how much has come from each source. “Who pays for what” stops being a guessing game.
Can my partner, parents, or wedding planner work on the budget with me?
Yes. You can share the wedding budget with your partner, your parents, or your planner, and choose what each person can do: Editors can add and change budgets and payments, while Viewers get read-only access — they see everything and change nothing, ideal for a parent who is contributing and wants visibility without the risk of an accidental edit. Everyone signs in with their own account, so there are no shared passwords and no spreadsheet copies emailed back and forth.
How do I track what I've actually paid against the budget?
Every budget line shows its numbers side by side: what you budgeted, what you've planned in installments, and what you've actually paid — with the difference colored green or red. Mark a planned payment as paid in one click and every total, calendar entry, and chart updates instantly. No formulas to maintain, no stale copies.
What about expenses I didn't budget for?
Incidentals happen at every wedding — last-minute alterations, an extra centerpiece, tips, one more case of wine. wed.money lets you record unbudgeted payments too, so they count toward your real total instead of quietly disappearing. Your final number reflects what the wedding actually cost, not just what you planned for.
Can I export my wedding budget to Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. wed.money exports your wedding budget and payment information to a spreadsheet file (.xlsx) that opens in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc, and similar spreadsheet applications — after all, a spreadsheet makes a great summary at the end. Export is included with a paid celebration.
Account & Registration
Is registration free?
Yes. Creating an account is completely free. No credit card is required to register or to use the trial period.
Why do I need to verify my email?
Email verification confirms you own the address and allows us to send you important account communications (invite acceptances, purchase confirmations, security notices). Your account is provisionally active immediately; some actions may require verification to be complete.
Can I change my email address?
Yes, from your account settings. Changing your email triggers a re-verification to the new address.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. When you delete your account, we disable access as soon as reasonably possible and use reasonable efforts to delete personal data from live production systems, typically within 30 days, except records we are required or permitted to retain for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or backup purposes. Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups until those backups expire under our backup retention schedule. Timelines are subject to operational and technical constraints.
Trial & Access
How long is the free trial?
The full-access trial lasts 14 days from the date you register. No payment information is needed during the trial.
What happens when the trial ends?
After 14 days, your account becomes read-only — you can still view all your data, but cannot create, edit, or delete anything. After day 30 your account is locked and you see only a purchase option. Accounts may be disabled and processed under our deletion and backup retention policy if they remain inactive. Timelines for these actions are subject to operational and technical constraints.
Can I still buy after my trial expires?
Yes. You can purchase at any point — during the trial, in read-only state, or from the locked screen. Purchasing immediately restores full access. If your account has already been deleted (past day 44), you would need to register again.
How many celebrations can I create during the trial?
Up to 3 celebrations during the trial. Paid accounts can maintain up to 3 celebrations.
Purchase & Refunds
How much does it cost?
$29 — a single, one-time payment. A one-time payment gives you full access for the lifetime of the hosted wed.money service, subject to these Terms.
Is there a subscription?
No. wed.money is sold as a one-time purchase. There are no recurring charges of any kind.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payment details are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not intentionally store full credit card numbers on our servers.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Contact us through our contact form with your order number within 14 days of purchase (or email support_staff@wed.money if you can't access the form). Refunds are not available after this window.
Can I get a receipt or invoice?
A receipt is automatically emailed after purchase. If you need a formal invoice (e.g. for tax or business purposes), use our contact form (or email billing@wed.money if you can't access the form) with your order number and the details you need included.
What happens if wed.money shuts down?
If we decide to permanently discontinue the hosted Service, where practical we aim to provide advance notice and a reasonable opportunity to export supported account data. The availability, format, timing, and scope of any export may depend on the condition of the Service, operational constraints, security concerns, and legal requirements. Users who purchased within 12 months of the discontinuation date may be offered a pro-rata partial refund, at our discretion.
Celebrations & Members
What is a "celebration"?
A celebration is an independent planning workspace — a named wedding event with its own budget, vendors, payment schedule, and member list. You can use multiple celebrations to plan different scenarios or test features without affecting your main planning data.
Can I invite others to help plan?
Yes. As the celebration owner, you can invite anyone with a wed.money account (or who creates one) to your celebration. You assign each member a role: Editor (can add and change everything) or Viewer (can see everything, change nothing). Members access the celebration through their own account — you never share your password.
Do invited members need to pay?
No. Only the celebration owner purchases a license. Invited members access the celebration for free — they need a wed.money account to log in, but they never pay anything. If the owner's account is active (trial or paid), all members of that celebration have full access according to their assigned role.
Can I remove a member from my celebration?
Yes. As the celebration owner, you can change a member's role or remove them entirely at any time from the celebration's member settings.
Data & Privacy
Who owns my data?
You do. Amar Micro Inc. does not claim ownership of any data you enter. We store it to provide the service, not to monetize it.
Is my financial data safe?
We use HTTPS for data in transit, hashed passwords, restricted administrative access, and encrypted backups where supported by our hosting and backup systems. Planning data is intended to be visible only to you and celebration members you explicitly invite.
Do you use cookies to track me?
We currently use functional cookies for sessions and preferences. This includes a persistent remember-me email preference cookie if you select "Remember me" at sign-in. We do not currently run third-party ad tracking scripts in authenticated app views. See our Cookie Policy.
Is my data deleted when my account is deleted?
When you delete your account, we disable access as soon as reasonably possible and use reasonable efforts to delete personal data from live production systems, typically within 30 days, except records we are required or permitted to retain for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or backup purposes. Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups until those backups expire under our backup retention schedule. Timelines are subject to operational and technical constraints.
Do hackers really care about my wedding budget?
Probably not personally. Unless your florist invoice contains state secrets, your wedding budget is unlikely to attract a movie villain.
The real risk is much more boring: automated bots scanning the internet for weak passwords, outdated software, and common security mistakes.
So yes, we have a sense of humor. But we still treat security seriously: HTTPS, hashed passwords, restricted admin access, backups, software updates, and monitoring.

EU / GDPR
Does GDPR apply to me as an EU user?
Yes. If you are located in the EU or EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation applies to how we handle your personal data, regardless of where Amar Micro Inc. is based.
What is the legal basis for processing my data?
Primarily contract performance — we process your data because it is necessary to provide the Service you signed up for. Security logging is based on legitimate interest. Purchase record retention is a legal obligation. See our Privacy Policy §5 for the full breakdown.
Can I export all my data?
Yes. You can export supported planning data where available from your account settings. Availability and format may depend on current product functionality and operational constraints.
Can I request deletion of my personal data?
Yes. Delete your account from account settings, or use our contact form (or email privacy@wed.money if you can't access the form).
Who do I contact for GDPR requests?
Use our contact form (or email privacy@wed.money if you can't access the form) with the subject line "GDPR Request" and describe what you are requesting (access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, or objection). We respond to privacy rights requests within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
Do you transfer my data outside the EU?
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers located in the United States. As the US is outside the EEA, this constitutes a cross-border transfer under GDPR. This transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) between us and AWS, and by AWS's own Data Processing Addendum, which is available at aws.amazon.com/agreement.
How do I file a complaint?
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (DPA) if you believe your data has been mishandled. You can find your country's DPA at edpb.europa.eu. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern directly first — please contact us through our contact form (or email privacy@wed.money if you can't access the form).
Staff Access
Can Amar Micro Inc. staff see my data?
We may use administrative support tools to access or view account information only when reasonably necessary to provide support, troubleshoot problems, investigate abuse, maintain security, or comply with legal obligations. Where practical, we will seek your authorization before using account impersonation for support. Administrative access should be recorded in an administrative audit log.
What is account impersonation?
Impersonation means a support staff member may use an administrative support mechanism to reproduce a technical issue as you experience it. That mechanism is designed to avoid requiring or exposing your password to staff.
Will I be notified if staff access my account?
We may not send real-time notifications for each support event. Administrative access should be recorded in an administrative audit log, and you may request a summary of available records through our contact form (or email privacy@wed.money if you can't access the form).
Can I prevent staff from accessing my account?
Access is reserved for legitimate support and operational purposes as disclosed in our Privacy Policy. If you have a specific concern or want to coordinate access explicitly before any support session, contact us through our contact form (or email support_staff@wed.money if you can't access the form) and we will work with you directly.
Support
What support is included?
Email support is included for 60 days from your purchase date. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Trial users may contact support for account issues; feature support is included with purchase.
How do I report a bug?
Contact us through our contact form with a description and steps to reproduce (or email support_staff@wed.money if you can't access the form). For security vulnerabilities, see our Security Policy for responsible disclosure instructions.
Does the application update automatically?
Yes. wed.money is a hosted service, and updates are generally deployed automatically without requiring manual installation by users.
